Frequently asked questions
Everything about how NexCV reviews your resume against the ATS and helps you apply to remote and international roles.
What is an ATS and why does it matter for my resume?
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System, like Greenhouse, Workday or Lever) is the software that filters resumes before a recruiter sees them. It reads your resume, scans for the job’s keywords, and ranks or drops candidates. If your resume isn’t well structured or is missing the exact terms, it can get cut even if you’re qualified. NexCV audits your resume against what your field’s ATS expects.
How does NexCV work?
You upload your resume as a PDF and pick your field. In seconds you get your ATS compatibility level, a breakdown by axis (format, impact, clarity, keywords), your strengths, a spelling review, and the market roles you already fit. The full review — exact rewrites and the keywords you’re missing — unlocks with a credit or a subscription.
Is it free?
Yes, the initial review is free and no card is required: you get your score, your strengths, the breakdown and the count of corrections. To see the exact corrections (line-by-line rewrites and missing keywords) you unlock the detail.
How much does it cost and what’s included?
The one-time payment of $99 MXN gives you 3 credits (3 full reviews with their rewrites and keywords), no subscription. If you’re applying seriously, the "Active Search" subscription at $279 MXN/month gives you unlimited reviews (personal use, fair-use policy). You can cancel anytime.
Will it help me land a remote or international job?
That’s exactly what it’s built for. NexCV focuses on Spanish-speaking LATAM candidates applying to remote or US/European roles. It shows you how to reframe your experience for a foreign employer: translate your title to English, use USD metrics, name your tools in English, and state your English level and time zone.
Can I analyze my resume in English?
Yes. NexCV is bilingual: you can get the analysis in Spanish or English, and each field’s content includes the English resume conventions (one-page format, no photo, English verbs and keywords) that US and European ATS expect.
How accurate is the analysis?
The analysis uses AI grounded in a real per-field context corpus (up-to-date keywords, certifications, metrics and common mistakes). It’s a very useful expert guide, but it doesn’t replace your judgment or guarantee a hire: use it to improve your resume, not as absolute truth.
Do you store my resume? Is it safe?
Your resume is processed to generate the analysis and saved to your account so you can revisit it. The text is sent to third-party AI providers solely to generate the analysis. You can review the details in our Privacy Notice.
Do I need to create an account?
Not for the free review: you can upload your resume and see your verdict without signing up. You only need an account to unlock the corrections and save your review history.
Is the "ATS score" real or just marketing?
We’ll be honest: an "ATS score" number is an approximation, not a law. That’s why NexCV doesn’t stop at the number: it gives you the axis breakdown, the concrete rewrites, the missing keywords and the writing errors — which is what actually moves the needle with a recruiter.
